In October 2020, Gov. Lamont signed Public Act No. 20-9, which revised provisions of the Transfer Act and authorized the sunsetting of the Transfer Act, replacing it with a new release-based remediation program at CTDEEP. The Public Act adopts the statutory framework for this new program and CTDEEP has started the process to develop regulations for implementation of this new program. Join us virtually on January 26th to hear from two members of the Transfer Act Working Group as they outline the new program and discuss its potential impact when considering environmental conditions at Connecticut properties.
